Addison Behavioral Care in Wilkinsburg is hosting the Second Annual Jim
Crow Day. It's an interactive experience that is designed to bring
awareness to anti-racism work and the history of our country surrounding
Jim Crow laws.
It's a day long, free event, at Addison. People can stay for 20 minutes or 2 hours. After people go through the different scenarios (segregated classroom, movie theatre, a bus, etc.) there will be a debriefing room (led by Tami Dixon and Mary Parker) to begin a conversation about individuals experiences. We also want to give people info on what else is going on in our city to combat racism.
The event is Feb. 25th from 11-5. Monday
